"To God be the glory, great things he hath done. So loved He the world that He gave us His Son. Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, and opened the life-gate that all may go in. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice! O, come to the Father through Jesus the Son, and give Him the glory, great things He hath done."

praise
An ordered education begins with praise. We praise God for the order He has given to us. We praise God for all he has done. We give Him the Glory.
It is through praise that we begin to teach our children God's truth, beauty, and goodness. We teach our children that God is indeed worthy of our praise. We teach our children how great God is. Through the act of praise we show our children the power, love, and grace of God.
This praise should fill up our days. We should feel as if we are bursting at the seams with praise to God. If we intentionally plan times of praise in our day, it can be beautiful and almost effortless.
Church liturgy is the perfect example of praise ordered in time. Liturgy is the form you follow, through time, to praise God. Liturgy is ordered praise.
A formal church service liturgy includes many acts of praise. We should include them in our days at home.
This praise is ordered through time, it follows a form. Some examples are listed below. We should order praise in our days at home too.
We can take this idea of church liturgy and put it into our days at home. If we use liturgy in our homes, we are giving our children the opportunity to praise God in an ordered, consistent, and visible way. Our children can begin to know and understand what praise really is. They begin to practice praise every day. Praise becomes a habit. When anything becomes a habit, you do not have to think about it as much, it takes less and less effort. It becomes easier. As praise becomes more familiar to and easier for our children, they will be more likely to do it on their own, in a more inward and personal way.

Order your days with praise
- Set aside time each day for praise. (Preferably the same times each day.)
- Fill that time with specific acts of praise. (prayer, singing, giving thanks, reading of scripture, recitation of verses, affirmation of faith)
- Follow the same form or order each day.
Meal Time Blessings
- Light a candle
- We like this blessing: "Bless us, O Lord, and these Your gifts which from Your bounty we are about to receive. Amen."
- We know it in Latin as well, thanks to Memoria Press Prima Latina. "Benedic, Domine, nos et haec Tua dona quae de Tua largitate sumus sumpturi. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

A Sprinkling of Praise Throughout Our Days
- Not every time of praise can and should be planned out ahead of time. Sometimes we stop right in the middle of our day just to praise God.
- We praise God when we discover something new and wonderful in our studies.
- We praise God when we see something beautiful in nature.
- We praise God when our hard work pays off and we finally "get it".
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His;
We are His people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the Lord is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
