morning time
30-45 minutes
Every morning, to start off our day of lessons, we do Morning Time. This is a time for our whole family to come together and focus on the true, good, and beautiful. This time sets the tone for our day. It prepares us for living out an ordered education.
Adding Morning Time to our day has allowed me the opportunity to give my children an education that includes singing, scripture, poetry, music study, artist study, habit training, and Latin. These were all subjects that I knew I wanted my children to experience. However, before Morning Time was a part of our day, I was unable to "fit them in" or "find the time".
To make things simple, I keep all books and materials that I need for morning time in one place, our morning basket. I do not ever have to scramble at the last minute gathering materials because they are always together within easy reach.
This is what our Morning Time looks like each day. I hope it will give you some ideas for your own.
