Hi, I'm Allison
I am a wife and mother of four sweet babies.
I am a happy homemaker and home educator.
We have been homeschooling our children since my youngest was school age, so six years now.
I have always had a great passion for education. Since I was in third grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher.
I got my degree in elementary education with an emphasis in reading and children's literature.
I taught first and second grades until I had my first baby.
Then I got my dream job, mother and homemaker.
I put my love of education with my love of mothering and homemaking and became a home educator.
I was first inspired by Waldorf Education. So much of what we do every day comes from all that I love about a Waldorf Education, and especially Waldorf Early Childhood ideas.
Thanks to my husband's leading and encouragement, I began to also discover classical education.
The more I learned, the more I knew I wanted my children to receive a classical education. Just a little while later, I came across the teachings and philosophy of Charlotte Mason. I was immediately drawn to her principles and methods. I began reading her six volumes on education and trying my best to implement a "Charlotte Mason Education" in our home and homeschool.
"Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life."
